BEACH SUNBURST

I tried to find the before photo of the sunburst, but I couldn't or I forgot take one
The face was a plain faded yellow and the rays were dark brown. I didn't like it, so I painted the colors you see - beach colors.

Indoor Fairy Garden

A couple items I did last week in-between other things. The moss garden I was creating outside, including a spot for a Fairy garden didn't work out, so I created one for inside.A couple items I did last week in-between other things. Candle Holder and Rose Arrangement

The glass candle holder with gold colored metal was the center of a gift arrangement. After the flowers died and were discarded, it was glued to a stained round craft board to provide balance. The painted clay pot on the right  has a half ball of Styrofoam with a ribbon glued around the bottom. Purchase small silk roses to glue to the compete half ball and then glue it inside the clay pot.

Recycled Shoe Polish Container and Bedroom Set

My husband's discarded shoe polish container made out of teak wood.
I lightly sanded the blond wood and brushed it with a light coat of gold paint.
Stenciled the rose and ivy, then added on top a dresser handle for carrying.
Inside I add felt to the sides. This was recycled to blend with my parents dresser and high boy below.

This was my parents first bedroom set from the early 60's.
It had long gold metal pulls which I replaced with  round wooden ones that I varnished to match the blond finish of the highboy and dresser. The stencil was added to cover some of the large scratches and I also added the roses to the corners of the mirror that was chipped.
